Cartoon Catchphrases

There are many cartoon characters in Japan that were born in America. These characters speak English when they are in America, but in Japan they speak Japanese, and this changes many things. The main thing it changes is something the characters are very famous for. This thing, is called a catchphrase. A catchphrase is something a character will say many many times, until it is as famous as their names. For example Pikachu from the Japanese cartoon Pokemon says `Pica Pica` all the time. `Pica Pica` is Pikachu`s catchphrase. So here in no particular order are some of the greatest and most famous American cartoon characters and their catchphrases. First let us look at a group of characters from a very famous show called Looney Toons. Looney Toons is a cartoon from the 1950s. They have been on television for a very long time and are loved by many.
Daffy Duck:  "You're Despicable!"
 (pronounced 'desthpicable')

 Bugs Bunny: What`s up Doc?
Tweedy Bird: I thought I saw a pussy cat, I did I did!
(pronounced I tot I saw wa putty cat, I did I did)
Sylvester the Cat: Sufferin Sucotash!
 (which means nothing!)

Charlie Brown was a cartoon in
the newspaper and on TV.
A sad guy, Charlie always said
`Good Grief!`

Yogi Bear: I`m smarter than the average bear!

Here are some more famous cartoon characters from many years ago.
Fat Albert was the leader of
The Junkyard Gang.
He said: Hey!  Hey! Hey!

Scooby-Doo and Shaggy.
A pair of mystery solving screw-ups.
 Scooby-Doo (the dog): Scooby-Dooby-Do
Shaggy (the human): Zoinks
!

The Flintstones and The Jetsons were very famous cartoon families in the past. Both families were very similar in the way they behaved, but The Flintstones lived in the time of dinosaurs and the Jetsons lived in the future.
Fred Flintstone was a very excited guy.
Fred Flintstone`s catchphrase is
`YaBaDaBaDoo!`
George Jetson was very bad at using technology.
George`s catchphrase is `Jane! Stop this crazy thing!`

The Simpsons is a modern cartoon that is also very much like The Flintstones and The Jetsons but The Simpsons takes place in the present. Homer Simpson might be the most famous cartoon character in America. He has been on TV for over twenty years (twenty years is the longest a cartoon has been on television in America. Before The Simpsons the longest running show was The Flintstones). Homer has many catchphrases. The most famous of these is D`oh! Which he says when he is hurt or has made a mistake. The word became so popular that it is now in the dictionary. Bart Simpson is Homer`s son and also one of the most famous cartoon characters in the world. High School students across America use his catchphrases all the time.
When dreaming of food Homer says
MMM _______________(type of food).

When Homer is angry with Bart
he says `Why you little...`
When he is angry or makes mistakes
Homer yells `D`oh!`
When Bart is excited or in trouble
he says `Aye Carumba!`
When Bart wants you to relax
he says
`Don`t have a cow.
When Bart wants to be disrespectful
he says `Eat my shorts!`
(Shorts means underpants)

There are many people in the town of Springfield, and many of them have their own catchphrase. Take a look.

Mr Burns is Homer`s boss.
 Mr. Burns says `Excellent`
Ned Flanders is Homer`s neighbor.
Flanders says `Hi-dilly-ho-dilly neighborinos!`
Nelson Muntz is a bully at Bart`s school.
Nelson says `HaHA!`
Apu works at the convenience store where
The Simpsons like to shop.
Apu says `Thank you come again
Radioactive Man Bart`s favorite comic book
character. Radioactive Man says, `Up and Atom!`
Atom is meant to sound like at them.

Super Heroes like Radioactive Man often have catch phrases. They use their catchphrases anytime they begin a fight or battle. The catchphrase to the superhero is a war cry. It is a word that prepares them for battle. Here are some classic heroes and their catchphrases.
This is Captain Marvel. He is an old hero.
Most of the time he is a normal person
but when he says the word `Shazaam!`
he becomes a super hero.

The Thing is a member of the Fantastic
Four. When springing into action he
yells `It`s Clobberin` Time!`
(Clobber means to punch or smash.)

This is The Tick. He is like The Thing, or The Hulk
but he is also very funny! The Tick is not as famous because
he is a little wierd. His catchphrase is `Spoon!`
The Human Torch is another member of
 the Fantastic Four.
His power words (or catchphrase) is Flame On!
Saying these words he bursts into flames!

The Hulk is another hero like the thing.
He is huge and likes to fight fight fight!
His catchphrase is `Hulk Smash!`
Superman is one of the oldest heroes in
America. His catchphrase is `Up, Up, and Away`
He usually says this before flying.

Now I want to know some Japanese character`s catchphrases. So if you can please tell me what the characters above  say in Japanese or tell me the answers to the questions below:
